BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes has added another investment to his holdings of the decentralized exchange token Uniswap ($UNI). According to data reported by on-chain analyst ai_9684xtpa, Hayes purchased 39,800 $UNI through liquidity provider Flowdesk approximately three hours ago.
The transaction was reportedly worth approximately $273,000. With this new purchase, the total amount of $UNI in Hayes’ wallet increased to 323,901. The current value of these assets is estimated to be approximately $2.24 million.
Hayes’ continued accumulation of $UNI comes at a time when on-chain investor activity is among the key indicators in the cryptocurrency market. High-value transactions by large investors are particularly important data points to track when assessing market interest in specific tokens.
The latest transaction, conducted via Flowdesk, indicates that Hayes is continuing its strategy to increase its $UNI position. However, no explanation was given regarding the rationale for the purchase or Hayes’ future expectations for $UNI.
Hayes is closely followed by investors due to his transactions and market analyses in the cryptocurrency market. His publicly available on-chain transactions, in particular, contribute to monitoring institutional and high-capital investor interest in specific crypto assets.
$UNI is used as the governance token of the Uniswap ecosystem, while Uniswap stands out as one of the most important protocols in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. Hayes’ latest purchase, bringing the total $UNI holdings to $2.24 million, marks one of the recent major investment moves that have drawn attention from on-chain data providers.
