Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced a temporary adjustment to user transactions due to a planned network upgrade on its Moonriver (MOVR) network.
According to the exchange’s statement, token deposits and withdrawals on the Moonriver network will be temporarily suspended to ensure smooth support for the upgrade and to protect the user experience.
According to Binance’s official announcement, deposit and withdrawal services for tokens on the Moonriver (MOVR) network will be temporarily suspended starting July 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The exchange stated that this step was taken to ensure the secure management of technical processes during the planned network upgrade.
The announcement stated that the Moonriver network upgrade is expected to occur at block height 16,960,935, which is approximately 4:00 PM on July 6, 2026. Binance emphasized that users do not need to perform any technical actions during this process, as all technical requirements related to the upgrade will be handled by the company.
On the other hand, the exchange also announced that trading of tokens on the Moonriver network will not be affected by this process. Accordingly, users will be able to continue trading these assets through the Binance platform. The restriction will only cover deposit and withdrawal services.
Binance announced that deposit and withdrawal operations will resume once the Moonriver network is stable and operational following the completion of the network upgrade. The company also stated that no further announcements will be made regarding the reopening of these operations.
