Riot Platforms has repaid a $200 million Bitcoin-backed credit facility from Coinbase Credit, ending a financing arrangement secured by part of the miner’s cryptocurrency holdings.
Riot paid the remaining principal and accrued interest on Sept. 21, according to a Sept. 25 filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The company did not pay an early termination fee.
The repayment also released Bitcoin, USDC and cash pledged as collateral. As of June 30, Riot had pledged 5,821 Bitcoin worth about $340.7 million, representing roughly 51% of its 11,380 Bitcoin holdings.
